After a good final road trip that just ended, Carolina Hurricanes hope that playing at home until the Olympic break will help them continue their recent success.

The celebration of the fall of the Florida Panthers could also help in its mission to leave the basement of the Southeast Division.

The Hurricanes will try to win its fourth straight at RBC Center on Tuesday night when they take on Panthers in a club that has won only twice in Raleigh since January 2003.

After losing the first two games, Carolina (21-30-7) earned a split of the four-game trip to Buffalo and beat the New York Islanders over the weekend. Rookie Justin Peters turned 34 beats in his NHL debut in Saturday’s victory 3-1 against the Islanders – Hurricanes sixth win in eight games.
